FIRECRACKER INVITATIONAL

ASA GIRL’S FASTPITCH SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT

18 & u and 16 & u Divisions

JULY 4^th, 5^th and 6^th, 2008

Weather permitting

WHEN: July 4^th, 5^th and 6^th, 2008. Depending on number of teams, starting time

for the first round could be 12:00 p.m. Friday afternoon.

WHERE: Galen Dreibelbis Complex at Hess Fields near State College, Pennsylvania

and the Penn State Campus. Phone number at complex: (814) 466-7551.

Full concession stand and restroom facilities available. Please note – NO

PETS allowed in the complex and NO OVERNIGHT CAMPING.

ENTRY FEE: $350.00 per team payable to S.C.A.S.A. Entry Deadline – June 20^th or until

divisions are filled. Send checks to Jann Duck (address on Registration

Form).

NOTIFICATION: Teams will be notified of game schedule by June 30^th by telephone.

FORMAT: Pool play, Friday and Saturday, which will determine seeding for the double

elimination bracket play beginning on Saturday.

AWARDS: Team trophies to the top three teams in each division. Individual awards to

the first and second place teams.

ELIGIBILTY: ASA roster, with 2 pickups, age according to ASA rules. The players must be

affiliated with an ASA registered team for insurance purposes. The pickup

players must bring a copy of their current ASA roster as proof of eligibility.

The pickup player must be dressed in a matching team uniform. A copy of

the team’s roster must be given to the tournament director no later than one

hour before the teams first scheduled game. Proof of age by birth certificate

upon request.

TEAM INSURANCE: Each team must show proof of insurance to the tournament director before

their first game.

UMPIRES: ASA sanctioned.

SOFTBALLS: ASA approved softballs will be furnished.

SPECIAL ATTRACTION: The champion of each age division may return to next year’s tournament. As

the defending champs, your entrance fee will be FREE
