1. ASA rules will apply.
2. All protests must be resolved at the time of the protest. The UIC or tournament director will make the final decision on all protests.
3. ASA roster, with 2 pickups, age according to ASA rules. The players must be affiliated with an ASA registered team for insurance purposes. The pick up players must bring a copy of their current ASA roster as proof of eligibility. The pick up player must be dressed in a matching team uniform. A copy of the team’s roster must be given to the tournament director no later than one hour before the team’s first scheduled game. Proof of age by birth certificate upon request.
4. After the first round of play, be ready to play as soon as the previous game is over.
5. Home team is determined by the flip of a coin.
6. Home team will be the official scorekeeper of the game.
7. There will be NO infield practice on the game diamonds before the game.
8. Each game will be seven innings in length with the following exceptions. There will be an hour and twenty minute time limit with no new inning to start after the hour and twenty minutes of play.
9. The International tiebreaker rule will be in effect after seven innings or the hour and twenty minute time limit.
10. The eight run rule will be in effect.
11. All 4 team pool play standings will be determined as follows:
a. #1 seed will be the team with the best record in each pool.
b. #2 seed will be the team that loses to the #1 seed in their second game.
c. #3 seed will be the team that defeats the #4 seed in their second game.
d. #4 seed will be the team with the worst record in each pool.
All 3 team pool play standings will be determined as follows:
a. Best record in each pool.
b. Head to head competition (if applicable).
c. Least amount of runs given up for all games.
d. Coin flip.
12. All final
brackets and format for playoffs will be determined by the actual number of
teams entered.
13. The umpire is the official timekeeper.
